Bersham Ironworks originally dates from the late 17th Century. Here in the 18th Century, John Wilkinson produced cannon for the American War of Independence and cylinders for James Watt's steam engines. Exhibitions in one of the surviving buildings tell the story of the site.

Bersham Heritage Centre is the central information point of the Clywedog Valley. It has exhibitions on the industrial history of the area and a lively programme of temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year.

Facilities

Car Park, coach parties welcome, toilets, toilets for the disabled, access for  the disabled, guide dogs welcome, guided walk/talk, school parties welcome, school information packs, museum shop.
